TERRIBLE STAY!! I attempted to discuss these issues with the 2 male evening desk attendants and was told that the hotel was very full and nothing could be done!! I was initially given the wrong room and had to change; new room did not have bedding for sofa bed as well as empty shower amenities; plugged in hair dryer and fuse blew- no lights or electricity; bugs flying out of sink drains; AC could not keep room cool when set at lowest temp; we drove around the hotel lot- not a single spot available- asked attendant and was told they were full and to drive over to the La Quinta back lot-only spot available was on a back gravel area covered in trash, next to a boarded up vacant building with no lights or security cameras and walked back in the dark w/ 2 kids. Very unsafe. I asked if that is what the $40 private parking fee was….replied yes, we are full and was turned away by hotel desk; discussed with Hyatt customer service and was assured the hotel manager would contact me which never happened. $40 parking fee is a complete rip off as the spots are occupied by park and fly customers- NOT families staying at the hotel.

Not enough space on shuttles....many people are turned away forced to Uber instead, which can be quite difficult with kids and luggage.

I chose this hotel specifically because it offered an airport shuttle. However, when I arrived to ORD late at night (around 11:30) and called the hotel for pickup, I was informed that the shuttle service had already ended for the evening and I would need to take a taxi. I was pissed, the taxi driver who picked me up was pissed, and it made for a very unpleasant introduction to the hotel. The morning shuttle service was fine.
The included breakfast was one of the least inspired and terrifically tasteless breakfasts I've had from any chain hotel.

We had a long day of trip cancellations and trying to find flights home and ended up having to spend the night in Chicago so we chose the Hyatt Place. We called the hotel to confirm how to access the shuttle and after being in the airport for many hours and retrieving our misplaced luggage, we went outside in the freezing temperature to catch the shuttle. As we were making our way across the roadway to the pick up spot, we saw the shuttle driving up. We as a group of 6 began waving at the driver. He made eye contact with our group several times and continued by us and drove away without shipping at the designated spot at all. We immediately called the hotel, who contacted the driver, and then got back on the phone with us to say he wouldn't come back for another 40 minutes. When he finally did arrive, he did not speak to us at all. Not one word of hello, my apologies, nothing.
When we got to the hotel, the front desk clerk apologized, but we were offered nothing more.
On a note of good service... The driver from the Marriot Hotel actually came into the airport doors to call out to see if anyone needed the Marriot Shuttle as most people would not be able to stand out in the freezing temperatures to wait.
Hotel in itself was fine. Food choices are extremely limited, but the bar tender was very pleasant.
