Simply the best
The only thing I didn’t like about this Hotel was the fact I had to leave it’s is just perfect staff service spotlessly clean attention to detail eager to help in any situation I shall be returning for sure location is great for a bit of peace and quiet after the busy days but a stone’s throw from the metro station

Highly recommended
Amazing hotel. Fantastic friendly staff. The room was chic & spotlessly clean. Breakfast really good & unusual for a hotel - perfect coffee made by a barista at breakfast. It is about 15 mins walk into city centre but there are bus & metro stops very close by if you need them.
Some very good restaurants in the vicinity. Highly recommended and if we return to Athens we will definitely stay here again.

Amazing staff, gorgeous setting
Staying at the Modernist was possibly the best hotel experience I've ever had. We travelled with our one year old daughter, and the staff bent over backwards to ensure we and our baby were comfortable, giving us early check in, a night light, and use of a high quality high chair in the dining room. The rooms are fantastic and safe for a baby to roam around. The breakfast is delectable, rooftop views superb. They even surprised our daughter with a Modernist t-shirt to celebrate her first birthday!

What a lovely hotel
Nice boutique hotel with beautiful decor and rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were immediately invited to the daily wine tasting (18.00-19.00). The rooms on the street side have a nice view. On the beautiful roof terrace you can order a drink and have a view of the Acropolis in the distance. Absolutely recommended is the breakfast. Very spacious and also a la carte options to order.

Wonderful hotel and service
We have been travelling to Greece for 25 years. We found ‘the modernist’ back in 2022 and since then will only stay there, when in Athens.
set in leafy Kolonaki area with easy transport links to the Acropolis etc, it’s just lovely to come back to this hotel after a day out.
funky minimalist design with a fantastic breakfast included. What makes this hotel is the staff. Nicos, Ian and the rest of the team at front of house are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble - they helped us with various things like taxi bookings as my husband is waiting a knee op. Marius who runs the rooftop bar is a gem. Breakfast team lovely, Penny and everyone else who looked after us.
their website and staff gave brilliant suggestions for things to do/places to eat. We loved their art galleries and museum recommendations and restaurants particularly. It’s only the plane fare preventing us from booking again, will have to get saving !
