Motorcyclists are also very welcome!
Located close to Passau, own kitchen, beer prices very good, restaurant with terrace! Sufficient secure parking behind the house, rooms and bathrooms good, beds/mattresses as well! For group prices, there is certainly a small group discount on the rooms, just ask

Parking during cycling tour.
Let me immediately mention: the hotel is located about 5 kilometers outside of Passau, so it is not the case that you can just walk around the block and find a terrace. Which is a shame because Passau appears to have a very pleasant center with more than enough catering establishments. And, let's be honest, Hotel Burgwald does have a restaurant, but don't expect too much from it. On arrival from the Netherlands we ate a schnitzel under the motto “what could go wrong with a schnitzel”. To be honest, we were surprised at what can go wrong: our (much too thickly breaded) schnitzel had apparently gone from the freezer into the fryer and was slightly burnt on the outside and not completely defrosted on the inside. So it is clear that we had dinner in Passau during our stay after returning from Vienna.
The rooms in the hotel are very outdated. This applies to both the rooms and the bathrooms. The bathroom assigned to my traveling companion did not even have a hand shower and there was a pipe with a shower head sticking out of the wall somewhere high.
Breakfast is not included and cost €9 or 10. Reasonable breakfast but with very bad coffee from an old-fashioned pot on a warming plate.
To summarize: mediocre hotel, but the option to park your car there for some time (for a fee) makes it a good choice.
