Nice hotel with huge dining room

Nice rooms, pool and sauna are available. The food tastes good and is offered as a buffet. For dinner there are beers and wine. But we had to witness the literal battle at the buffet. That was pretty intense. I think the buffet was too small for so many people. There was always something missing and the staff couldn't come up with the equipment.

Well recovered back home.....

The sometimes bad reviews are incomprehensible at all. At the time of our stay, the hotel was fully booked and we did not notice that anyone had anything to complain about.
We (3 adults and a toddler) have felt completely well. The rooms were large and well equipped. Also very clean. Staff friendly throughout. At breakfast and dinner there was a generous selection, which was also very good quality. Due to the location it is very quiet. Everything fit for us and we would love to come back!!!

A business stay away from the hustle and bustle

The hotel is not as bad as some reviews suggest. After a short wait, I was greeted in a friendly manner and quickly received my room key. Dinner is only available as a buffet, which is more than annoying.
You cannot eat a la carte in this hotel, for whatever reason. Nevertheless, the quality of the food from the buffet was quite good and all drinks were included.
The refrigerator in the room hardly worked and cold drinks remained a dream. The patio furniture was very dirty because of the many swallows and was not used. Breakfast was not served until 8 a.m., which is quite late for a business traveler.
I will come back at some point in the hope that the a la carte restaurant opposite will be open then (unfortunately closed on Mondays).

No recommendation due to complaints

When we checked in on the afternoon of January 26th, the man at reception initially ignored us. After a while he asked for our names. After a few platitudes - go to the room over there, breakfast room on the left and please indicate when you would like breakfast and dinner - the key and the spa cards were handed out. No friendly reception, no greeting, no questions about how the journey was. We had booked a suite because we wanted to sleep separately. The sofa bed was as hard as wood and creaked loudly with every movement. It was almost impossible to sleep. The TV in the bedroom had no signal. The door to the hallway was leaky, so we could hear all the conversations of the guests walking past, plus the barking of a dog. The hum of the drinks machine directly on the wall in the hallway could also be heard all night. There was only ice-cold water for showering on Saturday. I reported all this to a hotel employee on Saturday after breakfast. (Reception was not manned.) I asked for the problems, some of which were already serious, to be fixed or for a room change. The request to change rooms was refused on the grounds that the hotel was fully booked. And the hotel was aware of the cold water. If several guests shower at the same time, the hot water no longer works. The caretaker was free at the weekend, but he would be called to see what could be done to remedy my problems. And another little tip from the lady: go to breakfast first and then shower afterwards, then you have a better chance of getting hot water. And she wasn't joking. When we returned to the hotel in the afternoon, nothing had changed. We couldn't even get bathrobes for the walk from the room to the rather small swimming pool with 7 loungers. There were simply no clean ones left. In the room, we spent another night on a creaky living room couch and no TV in the bedroom. Showering on Sunday was also not possible. The water was only ice cold at 9:00 a.m. When we checked out, the reception was not manned either and we couldn't thank them for the really bad service. We travel a lot at weekends, but have never experienced anything so bad, and that was with an overnight price as a discount voucher for 2 nights, 2 people, €400 for B&B + 1 evening meal. The service was not good value for money. The mattresses were good to very hard. The interior and carpets were showing their age. Given how our weekend went, we would not recommend it to anyone.

Quite OK if you don't expect much

We were lucky and got the upper room with an anteroom. It was absolutely good, well-kept and clean.
The pool and saunas are small, but clean and intact. Unfortunately, the additional charge we had booked was not passed on even after we asked, so we found ourselves in front of a locked door and had to get help. A bit chaotic.
The food... Yes, you can eat it and there is plenty of it, but it is just basic quality and the low price is appropriate. If you value very good quality, this is not the right place for you.
Overall, a satisfactory hotel with slight weaknesses, OK for an overnight stay.
