I recommend
My experience at the hostel was better than expected. Always with activities for guests, luau on the beach, karaoke, dinner with the team! Very cozy, family atmosphere, clean and organized. I recommend it to everyone who goes to Ilhabela.

Bad experience in a private apartment
I arrived at the hostel today, private room and full of problems: room with the smell of sewage in the bathroom, door leading to the kitchen broken and without a lock, cold shower and bed linen smelling like mold. I called reception without any solution. I paid a lot for a private room to have some comfort and so far I've only had problems.
I'm going to have to sleep in this smelly room and take a cold shower.
The receptionist is very kind, but cannot resolve the problem and I cannot locate the owner for a solution.

Quanto ao cheiro de esgoto no quarto, agradecemos por trazer isso à nossa atenção. Isso é incomum, pois realizamos uma limpeza minuciosa e verificamos o funcionamento do chuveiro durante o check-in. Entendemos que imprevistos ocorrem, especialmente em uma ilha, e lamentamos qualquer transtorno causado. Agimos prontamente ao receber sua reclamação, oferecendo outro banheiro e iniciando a manutenção no chuveiro no dia seguinte às 9:30.
Quanto à porta do quarto, a trava interna proporciona segurança adicional. Se houvesse algum problema, teríamos resolvido imediatamente.
A recepcionista fez o possível para encontrar soluções naquele momento, e reforçamos que nosso STAFF na recepção está sempre disponível para auxiliar em qualquer dúvida ou problema adicional.

Occurred while I was a guest
I made a reservation for the 24th to 28th of December in an accommodation in Ilhabela Beer Hostel Private and shared suites, I was very well received by João, one of the owners and very well attended to by the staff, especially by the manager Lucila, a unique person, we shared a wonderful supper and so many other meals together or outings because as the hours and days go by we make friends, I have nothing to complain about when hosting space is moments shared with good and kind-hearted people, but on the 26th between 01:30 and 01: 40 moment when we were on the balcony of the accommodation, a man we didn't know, just passing through the accommodation, arrived next to the group we were talking to and stayed there and tried to start a conversation with everyone, we were choosing a beach to go to the next day, then he made a point of suggesting beaches and shows photos saying that he had already been there and that they were good, we said it was nice and continued there talking, he continued trying to fit in, saying I'm here with my family, but everyone had already gone to sleep, we listened and continued to plan our next day, it was quite hot and like the night previous We were going to sleep late, when it was cooler, I felt like eating chocolate, I thought, I'll go to the fridge and get it, coming out of the balcony towards the kitchen through an external side corridor I realized that this man was coming after me and it didn't make sense and he came walking kind of In a hurry I felt something strange I walked quickly down the corridor to go back to the balcony with the group I didn't stop to get the chocolate from the fridge because his attitude was strange at that moment he became more distant and decided to run to catch up with me then he started saying I want to see if She is unaccompanied, I increased my walking and he said wow, she is in a hurry, I entered through the back door of the room and found the inner corridor that led to the living room and the balcony, shaking, I called a classmate nearby and told him what happened, then I spoke to another colleague she said why do you think you said you were going to sleep he sat there and was harassing us all with looks and gestures as soon as you got up to go to the kitchen and saw a bigger opportunity as it was already late and you went to the outdoor kitchen which There was no one there, I went to the room, very scared because my colleagues were still on the balcony, I decided to take a shower and before I went to bed I heard a noise and I started to shake, I stood behind the bathroom door I thought it was him until I heard the voice of a colleague, as it was late, I didn't want to call the owner, whose name is João, I thought it would be better to wait for the morning. As soon as I saw him, I reported what happened to my colleague, who had said he would go to sleep because he realized what he was doing, he also reported it. Obrigado pelos comentários, mas gostaria de deixar esclarecido que nossos hóspedes não passam por uma triagem psicológica para avaliarmos antes do checkin... Não temos nada com o problema ocorrido, mas ao sabermos dos fatos, tomamos as providências cabíveis, expulsando o hóspede imediatamente para evitarmos novos transtornos. Boa sorte. !!

Great economical stay
We (couple) stayed in the private room and it was very pleasant. Spacious and clean room and bathroom. Everything old, but well taken care of. Air conditioning and fan working. 15" TV only (which was not needed). The location is perfect, facing the sea and a beautiful square, and everything is close by: restaurants, bars, cafes, pharmacy, market and the bus stops at the door (there is no Uber in island and the taxi is ultra expensive). There is a bar (samba) in front of the hostel (not the hostel bar) that is open every day until 3:00 in the morning with loud music, if the sound bothers you to sleep , you can hear it from the rooms and if you like live music, and the style, it is crowded and the musicians are great. The shared rooms with three beds are very tight, bunk beds or less three beds in the same room would be ideal and an individual locker Everyone seems to need it. They have just opened a new, well-equipped kitchen, a good point in their favor. There's even a barbecue, on Sunday we participated in a barbecue with everyone and it was very good!
